LGBT Ireland is a non-judgmental and confidential service providing support & information to the LGBTI+ community, their family & friends.

LGBT Ireland provides the:

• National LGBT Helpline
• Online Chat Service
• Nationwide Peer Support Groups
• Advocacy and Training

Last year, LGBT Irelands services supported over 2000 contacts to our Helpline and email service. We had over 170,000 people visit our website and provided 60 peer support groups around the country. LGBT Ireland also provided training to over 1500 people, almost half of these were health and social care professionals. We provided training to NGO’s, An Garda Síochána, private companies, university officers, staff and students and we will continue to work with service providers, community representatives, workplaces and schools to ensure that every LGBTI+ person can live without discrimination, fear or prejudice.

Your donation makes it possible for LGBT Ireland key workers to offer a vital lifeline to many vulnerable members of the LGBTI+ community, particularly those who face additional marginalisation and discrimination, such as older members of our community, LGBTI+ people seeking International Protection here in Ireland, and LGBTI+ members of the Travelling Community. Members of the LGBTI+ community are more likely to suffer with mental health issues such as severe stress, anxiety, depression and have high levels of self-harm, thanks to your support, LGBT Ireland can continue to offer confidential, non-judgemental support 7 days a week
